Town were missing Tom Windsor, Luke Reggeti, Darren Tidy and Ben Herdman. In came Mark Gilbert up front and Liam Cox at the back. This was the League Cup 2nd Round game and Horley needed to get back to winning ways against a team struggling in the League below but it was all Cobham for the first fifteen minutes.the first chance was after nine minutes when Cobham broke through a static defence and fired straight at keeper Ian Chatfield.A minute later and Chatfield was again called into action saving well at the right hand post. With twelve played Cobhma got a free kick on the right hand side and fired the ball into the box and sloppy defending let Cobham go one nil up.
Town went straight on the attack but jack poplett just could not get his shot under control on the pitch. With twenty played town first decent move of the night saw Adam Pullen crossed and top goal scorer kyle Hough score in the box to make it one one with a good header. With nineteen left Mark Gilbert knocked the ball onto kyle Hough who turned controlled the ball and fired it home to put Town in front with a great goal. With twelve left town got a free kick and Adam Pullen got on the end of it but his header went just wide of the upright. With ten left Steve Rowlinson received a yellow card for pulling a player back.Town then were awarded a free kick outside the area despite the hand ball being inside the box.
With seven left Liam Cox got taken out with a very high tackle and Cobham got the first of many yellow cards.Town went in at half time two one up.Cobham went straight on the attack and Chatfield did well to save at the near post. With five played Chris Weller took ages in the book with the ball and Cobham took the ball of him and fired home to make it two two. With seven played Town got a free kick on the edge of the box which Adam Pullen got on the end of but the home keeper saved well. Then there was floodlight failure as one side of the lights went off. fifteen minutes later with the players about to walk of they came back on and the game continued. With twenty five minutes left Nathan Jupp replaced Steve Rowlinson.A minute later and Ian Chtfield pulled of two great saves to keep town in the game.
Cobham then picked up another booking for taking out Jack Poplett. With fourteen left again Chatfield did well saving at the far post from a header. Then Nathan Jupp went in the referee box for a jump. With eleven Nathern Jupp turned a set up kyle Hough who fired home only for the slow Assistant referee to but his flag up for of side. With nine minutes left Cobham broke and scored goal number three. With six left Colin Harvey was replaced with Youth team player Daniel kelly up front with Town going three at the back. With seven left kyle crossed to Mark Gilbert put his header was saved by the home keeper.
