Town were with the injured Adam Pullen and Darren Tidy only made it to the bench with goal keeper Joe McLoughlin still unavailable manager Ali Rennie wasted no time in signing Ex Merstham Chelsea Crawley Town and Horsham keeper Ian Chatfield. Town started slowly and were out played by Ash United. Town just could not play as a team with passes go astray and lose ball all around the park.After two minutes on the clock Luke Reggeti had town's first chance when he testeed the keeper with a shot into the bottom corner which the keeper did well to get down and save.Play switched to the other end and Ian Chatfield did well saving at the feet of the Ash United forward.Max Davive then had a long range shot which went well wide of the upright.With nine played the Ash foward beat Chris Weller and broke free one on one and again Ian Chatfield came out and saved well diving to his right.With ten played a mistake at the back by Anthony Jupp and Ash were awareded a penalty. They fired the ball home with Chatfield diving the wrong way to go one nil up.Next John Eldred went close with a good header. Next Chris Weller went of injured and he was replaced by Ryan Elsey came on. With seventeen played Ian Chatfield again came to the rescue of Town with a fantastic save and the Jon Eldred cleared on the line. With twenty played Kyle Hough did a great run down the wing but his shot was cleared on the line.Next up Kyle Hough again broke into the box and shot but his powerful shot hit the cross bar and was hacked clear by the Ash defence. Town were then awarded a free kick on the edge of the box. Luke Ragetti took the free kick and it beat the Ash keeper but this time the shot hit the upright and again Ash cleared the ball away. Next up Karl Hough broke through the centre on his own and only with the keeper to beat his shot was saved by the keeper by sitting on the ball.Just before half time Ash got it in the net again but the referee blew up for a foul. Horley went in at half time with supporters hoping f a better half performance but it was not to be.With three minutes played Ash broke on the right and hit the upright.With seven played Luke Ragetti broke into the box and shot but his shot was saved at the second attempt by the keeper.With fifteen played Nathan Jupp went on a great run when the referee blew up and booked him to the amazement of all in the ground. With twenty eight left Nathan Jupp and Max Davive were replayed with Gary Thomlinson and Harry Williams.With eighteen left Luke Ragetti had a long range shot go just wide.With twenty two minutes left Gary Thomlinson turned inn the box and shot just wide of the upright.With nine left Luke again had a shot saved on the line by the keeper.With three minutes left Ben Herdman got flattened in the box but the referee waved played on and that was the end for Town in a very disappointing performance and result.
