EmailDuring the days after the war, my father Jack Pears (ex Preston North End and Oldham Athletic) coached and managed the team. The move took place to the defence in Smallfield Road and I can well remember the painstaking task of removing stones from the newly laid pitches. My father took the Club into the Surrey senior League and I can recall players Peter tester, bernie Wright and John Davies (who later went to Pompey).
