Badshot Lea 1 Horley Town 3
Town were without eight first team players for teh hard away trip to third placed and undeafeted at home Badshot Lea who ground share with Godalming. In came Colin Harvey from Merstham, Steve Rowlinson from Banstead Athletic plus Mithun Mayee who got his first run out from the bench he was previously with Crawley Town and Swindon Town.Playing in a change kit of white under the very poor floodlights it was Town who started the better and stronger against the home side who seamed happy to play the big ball up field and chase it. With four played Kyle Hough put Darren Tidy through but his shot went just wide of the upright. This was followed by Town getting awarded a free kick on the edge of the box which was taken by Luke Reggeti whose shot went wide of the upright. with eleven played Town were put under pressure and Tom Winsor cleared on the line and from the corner Ian Chatfield made a good save in the box and the forwards feet. With twenty played Badshot Lea broke free but fired high and wide Chatfield's goal. With twenty two played a fine ball from Nathan Jupp found Kyle whose powerful shot was put round the post by the home keeper. From the corner Nathan Jupp got up well and knocked the ball to kyle who fired it into the back of the net only for the referee to not give the goal and give a free kick. With fourteen left Darren Tidy again was only just of target with his shot. next up Town were awarded a another free kick on the edge of the box and Regetti played the ball to Adam Pullen whose rasping shot was paard by the home keeper for another corner. From the corner first Northern Jupp had his header cleared on the line and then brother Anthony had his shot go just wide of the upright as town piled on the pressure. With two minutes left Adam Pullen crossed to Nathan Jupp who scored but this time it was disallowed as the ball had gone out of play.Right on the stroke of half time Dareen tidy set up Kyle Hough who turned in the box and fired home to send Town in at half time one nil up. With two played in the second half Kyle broke through the centre and shot the ball just wide of the upright. With ten played Dareen tidy crossed the ball and Adam Pullen but it in the back of the net again but this time it was disallowed for offside. With fourteen played and Kyle set up Adam Pullen and his shot went over the cross bar. With sixteen played Kyle got flattened in the box and town got awarded a penalty (See the goal on HTFC U tube) and the defender got a yellow card and the number seven of Badshot also picked up a booking fro arguing with the referee. Kyle scored from the spot to make it two nil on the night. With twenty six played Kyle volled the ball into the back of the net in some style for the best goal of the game to make it three nil on the night and complete his hatrick.Next up Nathan Jupp was replaced by Mithun Nayee upfront. With thirteen left Mithun had a shot tipped round the post and from the corner taken by Luke a goal mouth scramble saw Badshot Lea clear the ball. Dareen tidy was then replaced with Mark Gilbert. With six minute left Adam caught his marker and Badshot Lea were awarded a penalty which they then scored from. In the last few minutes first Adam Pullen had a shot hit the side netting and then Badshot got it in the back of the Horley net but it was disallowed as offside. Another great team performance especially with all the changes in the team a great hatrick by Kyle taking his tally to seventeen this season and a great three points pushing Town up to third in the League.
